So if you do a speedtest (do not rely on your theoretical ISP's speed) on your network connection and get a speed for example (mine) of 88Mbps then I would need to open 2 running insane setting to give 67.2Mbps lag and 6 running at high to give 20.3Mbps lag totalling 87.5Mbps of lag and hopefully enough to lag me out ! Right, Done some testing for Xlag users regarding the programs capability's, I tested it on a laptop with no other programs accessing the network and can report the following lag effects each setting has. A physical lag switch works with this method. You can invite people to this lobby to give them the crate after the split. I ran XLAG 4-5 tabs at insane, my internet sucks so others may need to run a lot more or use a different lag program. I haven't had any luck getting a second crate to drop after lagging out and picking up the first one ( I waited a little over a hour ). I found that staying in the lobby after picking up the crate there are only a few random events (money trucks, high priority cars, Lester kill targets) and then the lobby dies out. Once you pick up the crate, you can stick around or jump around to new lobbies to find another crate drop. Remember once the lobby splits, turn off your lag program. Try not to lag yourself out of XBL or PSN. If done right you will split from the lobby and still have the special crate inbound, free to take your time to pick it up. This can be incorporated with the unlimited method, just make sure that one of your friends is willing to not pick up the crate and invite everyone back. Each friend and your self can split the lobby, leaving each one of you with their own crate.ĥ. You and your friend can take turns, as long as only one of you picks up the crate after you split the lobby.Ĥ. Pick up the crate, join your friends session or have them invite you to their session which still has the crate.ĥ. Make sure they do not pick up the crate.Ĥ. Split the lobby once again/ lag out your friend. Set spawn location to last and meet you friend by the crate.ģ. Once your feed shows everyone leaving the lobby and there is no one in your lobby turn off your lag program.Ģ, Once you are alone in the lobby, invite a friend. Once the crate is announced to be dropped (special crate drop in X amount of hours or inbound) start up your lag switch.ģ. Find a lobby with a special crate drop or just wait for one in the lobby you are in.Ģ. All lag program links are provided in this post as well listed under 'Tools'.ġ. There is a link under 'other helpful stuff' towards the bottom of this post for a free and easy speed test. Xlag is a simple program for slower speeds, Unicorn is for both lower or higher speeds. Your internet connection will determine if you need to use xlag or the unicorn program. Optional Check your internet speed to determine how aggressive your lag should be.
